On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti, held a farewell ceremony for its permanent lecturer entering retirement. The event took place on the 5th floor of the F & G Building and was attended by lecturers, administrative staff, and representatives of Mechanical Engineering students.

On this occasion, the Mechanical Engineering Department officially farewelled Prof. Dr. Ir. Chalilullah Rangkuti, M.Sc., who has served the department since joining on July 1, 2010. He has a strong educational background in Mechanical Engineering, with a Master’s degree from the Cranfield Institute of Technology, Bedford, England, in Energy Conversion, and a Doctorate from the University of Leeds, England, in the same field.

The event was held with warmth and respect. One of the highlights was a sharing session by Prof. Chalilullah Rangkuti, who shared various experiences, inspiration, and important messages for future generations of lecturers and students, particularly regarding the development of knowledge and character in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

As an appreciation for his dedication and contributions, a commemorative certificate was presented by the head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Ir. Daisman Purnomo Bayyu Aji, S.T., Ph.D. This moment served as a symbol of appreciation and an expression of gratitude for his dedication and service.

The event then concluded with a group photo session and a friendly gathering, further strengthening the camaraderie of the entire academic community. Happy retirement, Prof. Chalilullah Rangkuti. Thank you for your dedication, knowledge, and devotion. May you always be healthy and happy and continue to be a role model for us all.
