On Saturday, August 31, 2024, the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti, held a meeting for new students of the Undergraduate (S-1) Extension class for the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Study Program. This event took place from 09.00 to 15.00 WIB (Western Indonesia Time) in the Auditorium Room of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Hery Hartanto Building, 8th Floor, Campus A, Jl. Kyai Tapa No. 1, Grogol, West Jakarta.

Before the event began, new students were asked to register first. At 09.00, the event was officially opened by the committee, starting with singing the song Indonesia Raya and the Universitas Trisakti march.

Welcome and Explanation from the Faculty Leader
The first welcome was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi Sulamet-Ariobimo, S.T., M.Eng., I.P.M. who motivated new students to make good use of their time while studying at Trisakti University and achieve.

Furthermore, Vice Dean I, Dr. Ir. Nora Azmi, M.T., gave an explanation about the academic field. Among others, about the curriculum and learning system that will be applied during the lectures. Vice Dean II, Ratna Shofiati, S.Kom., M.Kom. explained the financial field, providing important information related to education costs and available scholarships. Then, Vice Dean III, Ir. Amal Witonohadi, M.T. explained about SKPI (Surat Keterangan Pendamping Ijazah) and various student activities that can be followed by new students.

The event continued with a question and answer session, where students were given the opportunity to ask questions about things that were not yet understood.

Explanation from the Mechanical Engineering Department and TOEFL Test
After the closing of the Faculty session, the event continued with an explanation from the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Ir. Daisman Purnomo Bayyu Aji, S.T., Ph.D. He explained in more depth about the Mechanical Engineering department, the competencies that will be obtained, and career opportunities after graduation.

The question and answer session was reopened, giving new students the opportunity to discuss the Mechanical Engineering department.

In closing, new students took the TOEFL test organized by the Education and Teaching Division, as an initial step in measuring their English language skills.

This meeting event is an important moment for new students before the official lectures start on Monday, September 2, 2024. It is hoped that through this event, new students will be more prepared and motivated in the lectures they will take in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti.
